Okay so I've been pressured by someone who will remain nameless...well mostly nameless... to get my hind quarters started on a blog. To be honest, starting a blog is a little intimidating. I mean are there really people out there who want to read about my life and/or my thoughts. And if there are, what kind people are these guys anyway. But regardless of all of that I was finally pressured enough to cave and write my first blog post. And it's dedicated to Sarah because well she gave me the subject matter for the blog.
Sarah and I got to hang out today and do bunch of random stuff like head to lunch, pick up tickets for the new Harry Potter movie coming soon to a theater near you, grab coffee, and just hang at a bookstore (my most favorite stores in the world by the way). If you know Sarah, and trust me you should, she makes a lot of great, funny and random comments. So here are just a few from today...
While holding a stuffed otter at the bookstore...
"They have koalas over in New Zealand don't they?"
She insists that the otter looked like a koala and that's what confused her. I for one was confused because I wasn't understanding how that subject matter popped into her head and then I realized. When it was pointed out that she was indeed holding an otter her response was...
"Well it looked like a koala. It had small ears and a small black nose!"
Yes these are the distinguishing features of the animal! But the last comment on this subject from her was...
"Okay, I guess it should have occurred to me because it had the tubular body and all."
Still on the subject of animals...this time penguins...Sarah explained to me why she was disappointed with the movie Happy Feet.
"There were definitely NOT enough dancing penguins for my sake!"
And the last Sarahism that doesn't come from today but from few weeks ago at Reds/Indians game (which the Indians won by the way...wahoo!). I was pointing at Abel who was sitting on Susan's lap next to her and Sarah apparently thought I was pointing out the fact that she had a moth on her. She began screaming and flailing her arms. After the disturbed looks that a number of us gave her she calmed down and said...
"Oh, there isn't a moth on me?"
Nope, sure isn't!
What makes Sarah the most fun to hang with though is not these comments, but the fact that she can laugh at herself through these comments. That's what makes the difference from being 30% fantastic to 70% fantastic!
